Arthurian English Folk Series: These Three Kings, I

"Working together is how problems are solved."

Once upon a time, there were three brothers who lived in a mighty, ancient land. Their names were Aurelius, Uther, and Constantine. Aurelius was the oldest, and he was very, very strong. Uther was next in line, and he was very, very wise. Constantine was the last, and as the youngest, and he was very, very wealthy. Each one of them was a king in that ancient land, and as men, they were rulers who oversaw all of the kingdom. One day, after many years of peace, a terrible, awful dragon came and attacked the realm. The dragon caused awful and horrible events to come about, and the kingdom was eventually harmed by the monstrous creature. The three kings, as brothers, decided they would have to kill the dragon, and in doing so, set out to slay the beast. The journey to its lair was very far, but when they arrived, they were filled with zeal and ambition to complete their quest. Aurelius was the first to attack, but though he was strong, the dragon was stronger. Uther was next, and though he was knowledgeable on how to kill the dragon, the creature was able to evade his blows. Constantine came last, as one who amassed a sizeable arsenal, but even then, the dragon's armor-plated skin was too much. During the fight, the three brothers agreed that by striking together, they could kill and defeat the beast. As one, then, they leaped, struck, and overpowered the demon whereby they were able to cast it into the ground - a monolith sent to the grave. Upon returning to their mighty, ancient homeland, they shared in the joy of freeing their kingdom from horror, terror, and evil. From that day forward, Aurelius the Strong, Uther the Wise, and Constantine the Great forever loved their realm as proud brothers who grew close in the light of teamwork and fraternity.
